The Capstone Experience is a multi-faceted independent project meant to encourage students to explore what is meaningful to them. The project begins with one incredible idea and ends with a final product and presentation. Click here to learn more about the process!
This project was created by Mia Hochstetler, a senior at Newtown High School and survivor of Sandy Hook. To cope with the tragedy she experienced, Mia became inseparable from coloring books. Since then she has used coloring as an outlet for stress, and hopes to introduce it to others through her project.
This project has partnered with the Women's Center in Danbury, Newtown Community Center, Edmond Town Hall, the Resiliency Center of Newtown (and many more!) to collect and distribute coloring books, pencils and supplies to those in need. Click here for information on the final product!
